Our Path to Sustainability

Advocating for positive change

Our sector is one of the least sustainable industries worldwide. Since day 1, we have seen it as our shared responsibility to change how we create and operate.

Premium quality, made to last

From the first sketch to the final stitch, we design styles made to last.

Consciously chosen materials

Fibre selection defines both the product quality and its environmental footprint. Since day 1, we have been committed to responsible and sustainable sourcing.

93% of our range

Organic cotton

We exclusively use GOTS certified organic cotton: grown from seeds that have not been genetically modified (non-GMO) and cultivated without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers.

7% of our range

Recycled Polyester

Since 2018, we have been using only recycled polyester made from post-consumer PET bottles. It takes between 38 to 80 plastic bottles of 550ml to produce our jackets - depending on the style.

< 1% of our range

Recycled cotton

Launched in 2021, our Re-range is paving the way for more circular production at Stanley/Stella. These garments are made from 50% recycled organic cotton taken from cutting waste, and 50% undyed virgin organic cotton.

Carbon footprint

Did you know that the carbon footprint of our iconic t-shirts is about 3 times lower than the carbon footprint of a conventional cotton t-shirt? In 2023, we are setting up a decarbonisation strategy to go even further, using our 2022 carbon footprint as a baseline.
